I wasn't sure how "Our Backstreets" would develop. I kind of thought it would be focused on goings-on in Chicago, and with a few exceptions, it has been. It's also a forum for my experiences, like the advertiser headache that has been the October issue. I feel bad that I can't post the reviews I intend to because my mind is so clogged with this b.s., so I at least like to let readers know there is a reason. I look forward to writing for Ferdy, and don't like to be blocked from doing it at all.
As for advertiser procrastination, actually, it does constitute an emergency on my part because that's our directive - bring in as much money as possible. In this case, we couldn't give them exactly what they wanted, but my boss said "People don't like to hear 'no'" meaning I wasn't to say it, but rather offer an alternative.
Sigh...

Hey, at least the world's paying attention to you. You're not stuck in the Computer Room of the Damned at eleven at night in the world's most boring University Campus...

How wild that I just mentioned your Backstreet posts in my comments just about five minutes before you put this up. And it's not publishing but I have the same problem in my job with people wanting information, statistics about this that or the other thing for their reports. They don't quite know what they want but they do know they need it yesterday! And they're never very concerned with whatever else you may doing, or what problems their last minute request might cause.
As the old saw goes, that my co-worker says on a daily basis, "Procrastination on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
